Baptisms: the hubbub, the time-consuming logistics, the tie to tighten... Photographing baptisms is always a busy affair, a healthy chaos that makes me deeply grateful that the family chose me to share such a beautiful day with them.

I usually start photographing while the younger ones are having a sleepy breakfast, before the silence of the house turns to bustle and haste. And before the worries that something could go wrong can take hold, it turns into another beautiful and happy day. From the moments the family gathers, to the moments they pray, eat, drink, give thanks, and dance!

HOW DOES A CHRISTening PHOTOshoot WORK?

I want to photograph this day as if I were invisible. As a lifestyle photographer, my goal is to capture the truth, that is, what is really happening at that moment with as little manipulation as possible. Obviously, I can take some more traditional photographs, if you so wish. My work focuses on the authenticity of the day. I want to give you authentic photographs, of unprepared people without poses. I want to give you the truth.

After the session, there is a selection process, and post-processing treatment to adjust the colour and lighting of the selected photos. I believe that everything that is part of you should be loved and accepted: Your wrinkles, marks on your skin, pores... In the post-processing treatment, I do not change anything that is a part of you. I can remove specific aspects that may come during the session (a pimple, dark circles under the eyes or bruises, for example).
